Let Navigaia take you on a tour of Buenos Aires thanks to our series of videos. Thanks to our interactive map, you can discover the city's top tourist sights. Buenos Aires is of course the capital of Argentina, but did you know that it is also the most populated city in South America? With its New York-esque grid system of roads, the city is a "must see", thanks to its rich cultural heritage. In the city's historical centre, you'll find its major buildings and monuments, such as the National Basilica of Notre Dame de Luján, the Mayo pyramid or the Casa Rosada, however there are plenty other gems just waiting to be discovered. The historical port, over 100 museums, several cinemas, theatres and operas, the tango and bandoneon culture, and the local cuisine also merit a mention. The capital's originality is partly due to various European influences, most notably that of the Spanish colonists of the 16th century. Contemporary style, colonial influences and warm colours all combine to make the capital a lively, dynamic and culturally vibrant city.
