Stratford-upon-Avon is a charming town in the centre of England, made famous thanks to its most famous son, William Shakespeare.  To find out more about the author, you can trace the steps of his life: the house of Shakespeare's mother Mary Arden, his birthplace, the old 15th century school where Shakespeare studied, New Place which was his last house, Hall's Croft where he passed away and the Holy Trinity Church, where he was buried.  Stratford-upon-Avon is also home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, where the writer's plays are performed throughout most of the year.  The town is a place of pilgrimage for fans of the author.  Of course, don't forget to prepare your journey with our video guides and maps.
